Overview:

Forest Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage high-end residential construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction trades and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Schedule, coordinate, and supervise construction activities per assigned job site.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
• Review and interpret structural, architectural, MEP, design plans and specifications.

Team Leadership

• Lead and manage construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Conduct regular team meetings to address progress, challenges, and job updates.
• Foster a culture of efficiency, safety, and collaboration on the job site.

Quality Assurance

• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to plans and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Ensure that all work complies with local building codes and regulations.

Resource Management

• Track job costs to implement corrective actions if needed.
• Manage equipment deliveries and material availability to avoid delays.
• Schedule trades and subcontractors per scope of work and project timelines.
• Coordinate buyouts with procurement teams for timely arrival of supplies.

Safety Compliance

• Follow and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Conduct safety meetings, ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architect, and subs etc.
• Provide regular production meeting updates to company leadership and clients.
• Address and resolve any client concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, supervision, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising high-end residential construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, DocuSign, Dropbox, Smartsheet, Google Drive etc.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications

• OSHA certification (preferred).
• Relevant construction management certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capability to lift and carry heavy materials as needed.
